As part of its sustainability drive, the Amphia Hospital in Breda has installed a solar farm on the roof of its car park. The solar farm consists of 1,744 solar panels and has a capacity of 488 kilowatt peak and generates 400,000 kilowatt hours of solar power annually. This sustainable electricity is used to provide the entire garage with light, power for the electric charging stations and to charge the shuttle buses.
Groendus
To realise this project, we supplied a transformer substation to Groendus. This company specialises in building solutions in the area of rooftop solar energy, for which we installed the transformer substation.

For this project, Batenburg Energietechniek supplied the transformer substation so the energy generated by the solar farm can be supplied back to the Enexis grid. Busbars
On behalf of ABB, we delivered and installed various busbar systems for the transport and distribution of electrical energy. This included busbar connections between transformers and LV distribution boards for energy transport. For the energy distribution, the busbar systems were equipped with junction boxes. These busbar systems run from the main distributor towards the various sub-distributors. The junction boxes on the busbar provide a safe and flexible branch to feed the sub-distributors and control cabinets at various locations in the building. The advantage of busbar systems for the user is their compact and flexible construction. The project-based turnkey approach and the close cooperation between ABB and Batenburg Energietechniek were also an advantage in such a project.

We like to provide a total energy-technical solution. To this end, we cooperated with our sister company Batenburg Installatietechniek. They provided the cabling for this project. By making use of all the knowledge available within Batenburg Techniek, we are able to supply total solutions.
