With effect from 1 November 2020, Batenburg Techniek will acquire DIGIT Elektrotechniek. The Zwaag-based company develops, installs and implements electrical installations for production processes. DIGIT Elektrotechniek also develops various PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions for various industrial clients in North Holland. Batenburg Techniek is a technical service provider that operates in the heart of the smart industry. The acquisition of DIGIT Elektrotechniek supports the ambition of Batenburg Techniek to further expand its activities in industrial automation.

The Batenburg Industrial Automation division has 500 employees working for clients in food production, specialist mechanical engineering, marine and offshore, water treatment, horticulture and drinking water supply. The activities of DIGIT Elektrotechniek fit seamlessly with the activities of Batenburg Industrial Automation. By combining mutual knowledge and experience, Batenburg Techniek offers a broadening of the range of services and expands its activities in North Holland.
With more than 70 employees, DIGIT Elektrotechniek will form an important part of the Batenburg Industrial Automation division. This division also comprises the companies Beenen, Bellt, JB Systems, IAS and Hoogendoorn Growth Management.
