Focus
The focus of Batenburg Techniek remains on strengthening the position in digitisation and energy transition. This focus, combined with spreading the activities over different markets, provided a stable basis for further development in 2020 as well. The Covid-19 pandemic affected the world for much of 2020. Confidence recovered in the course of the year. The energy market showed growth, which benefited the company. Over the whole year, revenue and result developed positively.

Driver for growth
The number of employees at Batenburg Techniek grew by 9.9% in 2020 to 1,162. A positive development, partly considering the fact that finding, training and developing talented people is the most important driver of profitable growth for Batenburg Techniek. This year again, Batenburg proved able to attract people and thus to close the year successfully, under challenging conditions.

Ralph van den Broek, CEO: ‘The strategy of Batenburg Techniek, aimed at long-term value creation with a focus on growth in industry, energy technology and infrastructure, is proving to be successful. The trust and commitment of clients and employees make it possible for us to continue to work jointly on the future of Batenburg Techniek, even in difficult times.’
