Transport company Qbuzz is working together with Batenburg Techniek on a 100% electric future in 2030. Batenburg Techniek focuses not only on the delivery and installation but also on the commissioning of the ABB chargers for the electric buses of Qbuzz.
Batenburg Installatietechniek provided the commissioning of 62 ABB depot chargers in Groningen and Drenthe. Thanks to the cooperation between Batenburg Installatietechniek and ABB, the chargers were commissioned based on the ABB commissioning document and various test sessions and final checks were carried out.

Supply, operationalisation and maintenance
Batenburg Installatietechniek has had service engineers undergo training so that they can perform the commissioning of the ABB charging infrastructure. This makes Batenburg Installatietechniek one of the first companies where the supply to and operationalisation of the charging infrastructure for the client can be arranged entirely in-house. This ensures that the client can fully focus on the implementation of electric buses within the concession.
It is extremely important for Qbuzz, ABB and Batenburg Installatietechniek to guarantee the highest possible availability of the charging infrastructure. Therefore, we will provide the service management and maintenance of the charging infrastructure for the coming nine years.
100% electric driving
In the Netherlands, Qbuzz covers 3 regions: Dordrecht, Utrecht and Groningen/Drenthe. They are switching from diesel to electricity, and the target is to be 100% electric by 2030. In order to realise this, they started a pilot in Dordrecht in which we have been involved from day one. Qbuzz is making all its business activities more sustainable and has, for instance, also equipped a car wash with some 200 solar panels.
