Ampelmann has been a client of JB Systems for some time. In close cooperation, we are developing the control concept for various types of gangways to safely transfer personnel or equipment from a moving ship to a fixed platform. Our software allows the gangway to make a counter movement when docking. This ensures safe mooring in all situations, such as in rough waters. More than 50 systems have been built based on this control concept.
Insight
Ampelmann is currently working on renewing the power supply of the L-type. The L-type is 100% electrically powered from the ship’s electrical system. Disruption to the electrical network is therefore an important aspect. In order to gain more insight into this, we set up a measuring session together with Batenburg Installatietechniek and Batenburg Applied Technologies to measure disruptions to the L-type.
